Ivory Caost forward, Wilfried Bony has revealed that he has no regrets over his decision to join Manchester City amid suggestions he is looking for a move away from the club.
The 27-year-old joined from Swansea City in January 2015, but has not been a regular starter in Manchester as manager Manuel Pellegrini prefers Sergio Aguero as his main striker while Bony and Nigerian youngster Kelechi Iheanacho provides cover.
Bony recently voiced his frustration with his situation at the club especially after the Arsenal game where the Citizens lost primarily because the manager fielded an unfit Aguero who was just returning from injury over him. However, the 27-year-old says he is content to stay where is.
“I’m happy at the club,” Bony told BBC Sport to quell rumours of a potential January exit from the Etihad.
“All this speculation is not true. I have a contract so I’m happy and I think I’m at one of the top clubs in the United Kingdom.
“I have no regrets about joining Manchester City. We play in the Champions League and we’re one of the top clubs in the world.
“I’m happy here and I can just say I’m blessed.”
Bony has a contract until June 2019 with Manchester City but have scored just eight goals in 23 appearances in all competition for the club.
