Eddie Howe has revealed that his Bournemouth side is not afraid of current premier league champions Chelsea ahead of this weekend’s tie at the Goldsands Stadium.
The manager believes that the late Saturday kickoff comes at a perfect time for his wards who are unbeaten in their last two league fixtures.
Howe is happy with his team’s “momentum” and he is confidence that they can trouble the Blues who are currently having a disastrous start to a premier league season under the era of Jose Mourinho.
“From our perspective, we are meeting Chelsea at a good time. We are in a good place at the moment,” he told the club’s official website.
“We’re building momentum in terms of performances. Of course, ideally, you’d like to rubber stamp those with wins.
“The next two games are going to be a big showing of how far we have come in recent times.”
Bournemouth are currently placed 18th while Chelsea sit in 14th position with 15 points after 14 matches.
