The communication regarding the Harambee Stars camp ahead of the game against Cape Verde in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers has been relayed after earlier confusion cast a doubt on the team’s preparations.
The players called up for national team duty have now been directed to converge at the Moi International Sports Center (MISC) Kasarani on Friday morning after initial communication from the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) had directed that they converge at the Mvuli Hotel on Thursday to open camp.
The shift in plans was communicated via a short message sent to the players by Stars Team Manager Willis Waliaula to the players.
“Sorry for the inconveniences caused; there has been a change in plans, let us meet at Kasarani tomorrow by 9.30am. Everybody is ready for training so please let’s keep time,” read the message.
Gor Mahia and Sony players will be exempted from the opening days of camp as the two teams are set to face off in the Top 8 final.
