In a packed Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna, the Super Eagles started like a house on fire as Ahmed Musa produced a glorious cross in the first minute and three minutes later Moses Simon had a shot charged down for a corner kick.
But technical mistakes from the likes of Ambrose Efe gave the Egyptians a sniff of goal and it took Carl Ikeme’s legs to keep the score line at 0-0.
For the second half, Samson Siasia has to find a way for Kelechi Iheanacho, who came into the game towards the end of the first half and Oghenekaro Etebo, who tried to unlock the Egyptian defence with lofted balls.
Odion Ighalo needs to be given more chances of taking on his marker one-on-one and the team needs to play more balls on the ground to release the speedy duo of Simon and Ahmed Musa. Victor Moses is also another option in behind the striker as his dribbling and pace could create goal scoring chances for the team.
