The outgoing Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola is in Kenya for the festivities.
Guardiola arrived in Nairobi on Monday 28th December with his family consisting of wife Cristina Serra and children Maria Guardiola, Marius Guardiola and Valentina Guardiola.
Upon arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), Guardiola took selfies with a number of his fans, including the Mombasa County Governor Ali Hassan Joho who came with him on the same Emirates flight from Dubai.
Guardiola did not grant media interviews as he is on a private Safari with his family but the Mombasa Governor said he will be around until early 2016.
“He is really happy to be here with his family. Pep said he will be here till the New Year but wants a low profile to just have a rest with family,” he said.
Upon landing, Guardiola went straight to the Maasai Mara National Park in Narok County.
