Super Eagles forward Kelechi Iheanacho began life under new Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola as the Spaniard drilled the Nigerian and others in his first training session at the club.
Guardiola joined the Citizens this summer following three successful seasons at Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich and has promised beautiful football at the Etihad as he replaced Manuel Pellegrini at the helms.
It was not a full training as most of the players from the European Championship and Copa America are yet to return but the likes of Yaya Toure, Samir Nasri, Wilfred Bony, Fernandinho, Fernando, and Willy Caballero joined Iheanacho as the former Barcelona manager drilled them.
One interesting sight was Mikel Arteta who joined the Manchester City backroom staffs after leaving Arsenal on a free transfer after an injury ravaged 2015/16 season with the Gunners.
Iheanacho had earlier met Guardiola during the unveiling of the club’s new badge and introduction of new signings Nolito (Celta Vigo) and IIkay Gundogan (Dortmund).
