Kenyan Premier League (KPL) champions Gor Mahia will be making another stab at continental glory when they take on Madagascan opposition in the shape of CNAPS in the first preliminary round of the CAF Champions League on Saturday 13 February.
This is the second time in a row Gor are facing CNAPS, having played them at the same stage last year. Gor won the first leg 1-0 in Nairobi, but went on to lose 2 – 3 in the return leg, sailing through on the away goal after a 3 – 3 aggregate.
The team is expected to train at the match venue on Friday morning while the hosts, Gor Mahia, will have a feel of the pitch at 4pm.
Tanzanian referees will officiate in the match.
Mfaume Ali Nassoro will be the center referee assisted by Ferdinand Chacha and John Kanyenye and Martin Sanya will be the fourth official. Tariq Atta Salih from Sudan will be the match commissioner.
