Kenyan Premier League (KPL) champions Gor Mahia have been handed a boost with the return of Ugandan defender Godfrey Walusimbi.
Walusimbi has been out for weeks after sustaining injury from a motorcycle accident but Team Manager Jolawi Abondo has confirmed he is back and joined his team mates in training all week.
The TM however stated that whether or not the defender will be ready for the weekend game against Nairobi City Stars is a decision only the coach can make.
“Walusimbi is back after his accident and has been in training with the rest of the team, save for a few who are out injured and I think this is a boost for us especially in terms of options ahead of the coming matches.
“Whether he will play on Sunday or not, is not my decision to make. The coach will have an assessment of the team, him included and will make his decision on who to play and who to leave out,” he said.
