Kenyan Premier League (KPL) champions Gor Mahia are looking to rope in Rwandese striker Jacques Tuyisenge as the replacement for his countryman Meddie Kagere who is reported to be on his way out.
Gor Mahia are preparing for the CAF Champions League in 2016 and according to reports at the club, Kagere, who was the second best scorer for the team in the 2015 season has opted to leave following the expiry of his one year deal.
As he leaves, Tuyisenge, who starred for Rwanda in the 2015 CECAFA Senior Challenge has been earmarked as the replacement.
A source at the club who asked for anonymity spoke to 366football.com and confirmed a top Gor Mahia official is in Rwanda to negotiate the deal.
The 24 year old Tuyisenge was a major player in the Rwanda national team’s run in the CECAFA tournament as the team went all the way to the final. He scored three goals in the tournament.
According to the Gor Mahia official, Kagere tabled demands that the club could not match and thus opted to set him free.
