In a bizarre revelation the Ghana Sports Ministry has spoken out about their bewilderment about the October 13 exhibition game between the Black Stars and Canada.
The game is set to be played in Washington, the United States of America, but with a few key players already pulling out, as well as Visa issues for the team causing delays.
“We at the ministry were not notified officially by the FA of this friendly game for the senior national team of the state,” deputy Sports Minister, Vincent Oppong Asamoah told Ultimate FM.
“We have accordingly registered our displeasure officially with the Football Association.
“I can imagine how the media would have dealt with the ministry if it had been the other way round.”
Former Chelsea coach Avram Grant hasn’t even released his official squad for the game against Canada yet.
Deputy captain Andre Ayew, Christian Atsu and Rabiu Mohammed are unavailable and Grant is not sure of his squad.
Skipper Asamoah Gyan is injured at club Shanghai SIPG in the Chinese League so he can’t make it either.
