Black Stars coach Avram Grant has come under scrutiny in another controversy, this time after he used the word ‘bulls***’ in response to his critics in the media.
Even a former Ghana international Sam Johnson has come out and pleaded to the FA to sanction Grant for this.
“Avram Grant’s comments were unfortunate. We’ve called on his employers to bring him to order for such comments, but are they part of his contract? No!,” Johnson told Joy FM.
“But if there’s anything in his contract he is not doing, the FA have every right to sack him, because what he is doing, going to his country and staying for three months and he is still getting paid, the FA have every right to punish him.
“And if he[Grant] is criticized by Ghanaians and he gets angry to react and say certain things, he should be called to book. The FA should tell Ghanaians something by Wednesday.”
This is what the former Chelsea coach told the media:
“If this nation will concentrate on the football and not the bull***t, and just the football because there is a lot of passion, we can reach higher, high level. It is a long term target ,but it’s achievable,” said Grant.
Even Ghana FA Executive Committee member Wilfred Osei ‘Parma’ has warned that the Israeli coach will be under fire.
“Certain things may not sound well to me as an individual with some words and will not sound proper to Ghanaians in Ghana,” he told Starr FM.
“It is now time we bring our coach to book and my boss George Afriyie will handle this since we are competent.”
