The Black Stars of Ghana travel to the French island of Mauritius hoping to wrap up their qualification for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.
Mauritius hosts Ghana on Saturday the 4th of June, where the visitors will be overwhelming favourites against the minnows.
Ghana is not going to leave a stone unturned and have already begun preparations with 11 players turning up early for training in Dodowa Accra on Saturday.
That includes former Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Fatau Dauda, who’s now at AshGold. Dauda was rusty when left on the bench in the South African PSL, but is regaining his sharpness and was on form in training too.
Others to report in for training were Chelsea’s Baba Rahman, Aston Villa’s Jordan Ayew, Swansea’s Andre Ayew and Leicester City’s Daniel Amartey. The session was run by Maxwell Konadu instead of Avram Grant.
From the Spanish league there was Mubarak Wakaso and Christian Atsu. They were joined by John Boye, Ebenezer Assifuah and Frank Acheampong.
The players will be going through their paces again this morning.
