Chelsea left-back Baba Rahman is reportedly undergoing a medical at Bundesliga side Schalke ahead of a season-long loan move, according to Sky Sport.
Rahman becomes the latest young player to leave the club this summer following earlier exits of Nathan Ake, Charly Musonda and Lewis Baker.
Rahman, 22, joined Chelsea from Augsburg only last summer, signing a five-year deal at the club, and provided cover for first-choice left-back Cesar Azpilicueta last season.
The Ghana international made 23 appearances in all competitions for the Blues during the 2015/16 campaign, but has been deemed surplus to requirements by new head coach Antonio Conte who is currently shaping his squad ahead of his first season at Chelsea.
Rahman spent three years in Germany prior to joining Chelsea, spending two seasons at Bundesliga 2 side Greuther Furth, where he made 48 appearances, scoring twice.
