Super Eagles forward Moses Simon has signed a new contract that will keep him at Belgian side K.A.A. Gent until 2019.
Confirming the new deal, Gent in an official statement on its website wrote;
“Zonet Moses Simon placed his signature on a contract extension until 2019. KAA Gent thus continues to work on the contract extensions of his strongholds.”
Born in Jos, Moses Daddy-Ajala Simon is a product of the famed GBS Academy, the same football academy in Nigeria that produced the likes of Ahmed Musa. He was linked with Nigerian Premier League club Kaduna United.
On 10 May 2013 it was announced that Moses Daddy had signed a pre-contractual agreement with Dutch club AFC Ajax to join them in pre-season training, having previously been linked with Liverpool F.C. and Tottenham Hotspur.
On 25 July 2013 it was announced that Ajax would not sign the Nigerian, ultimately waiving him from the pre-season roster and paving the way for discussions with AS Trenčín; Ajax partner club in Slovakia, which is owned by former Ajax player Tschen La Ling.
On 13 January 2014, Simon signed three-year contract for Slovak side AS Trenčín to join his compatriot Kingsley Madu before making the switch to Belgium with Gent in the 2015 winter transfer window. Since joining the Buffalos, Moses Simon has scored 9 goals and made eight assists in 44 games .
