Former Doncaster Rovers midfielder Dean Furman didn’t live up to expectations in the PSL last season. Now with a campaign behind him, he is looking to step up, together with a trophy haul for his club SuperSport United.
“I have to be honest, the first half of last season was hugely disappointing for me personally, but I think as soon as the second half of the season came along I started to know the league a little bit more. I felt a bit more at home with my surroundings and teammates,” Furman told the media.
“There was definitely a vast improvement in the second half of last season, both individually and collectively.
Then the 28-year-old spoke about the team’s ambitions.
“This season, I think for us as a team we have to be competing on all fronts. We have made some great signings. We have a top coach and we want to be competing. We want to be up there in the league, competing in competitions,” Furman continued.
“First and foremost, we want to be up there in the league and if we can add some more silverware that would be great as well.
“We have big goals this season.”
