Kenyan international Michael Olunga played the full match as his team Djurgaden IF won the third straight game, a 2 – 1 victory over Gefle in the Swedish top tier league staged at the Gavlevallen Stadium on Sunday 10 April.
After a goalless first half, the hosts, Gefle took the lead through Finland international Simon Skrabb on the 50th minute but Liberian international Sam Johnson restored parity on the 77th minute.
Djugarden’s perfect stat to the season was not to be stopped in the match as Kevin Walker netted the winner deep in time added on.
This was Djurgaden’s third win in as many matches; which saw the team consolidate top spot with nine points after three rounds of matches with Gefle seventh on four points.
Olunga will be in line for more game time when his team faces Hammarby on Tuesday 19 April in the next league outing.
