England Championship outfit Fulham are believed to be interested in bringing Ghana star Asamoah Gyan to Craven Cottage on loan from Chinese Super League side Shanghai SIPG.
The former Sunderland striker has found his game time limited following the arrival of Hulk at the Chinese side, and Sky Sport understand the former Rennes and Udinese man would welcome the opportunity to play under Slavisa Jokanovic.
There is still plenty of work to do to get this over the line, but sources claim the player could fly in this week for a medical.
Reports crdited to his agent Kamil Cira claimed the striker was due in in Turkey to finalise a season-long loan move to Besiktas.
The 30-year-old forward, who joined Shanghai SIPG from Al Ain last year, did not impress in the Chinese Super League due to injuries, prompting the club’s record signing of Brazilian Hulk in June.
Gyan was previously linked with a move back to England, with Chelsea and West Ham United leading the chase for his signature.
Gyan scored seven goals in 20 appearances and reports suggest that he has been dropped to train with the reserve team, one of the reasons why he is looking elsewhere for more playing time ahead of the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations.
