Dutch born Morocco forward Nordin Amrabat has agreed a deal to join Nigeria’s Odion Ighalo at Watford from from Spanish side Malaga.
The Versatile 28-year old striker is expected to compliment England’s Troy Deeney and his strike partner in the Nigerian international who is yet to score in 2016. Amrabat was on loan at the La Liga club last season before signing a permanent deal and has made 15 appearances this term.
His arrival will sure provide competition a healthy competition for the Hornets’ front men who have only managed to to score one goal in three premier league fixtures since the turn of the new year.
Watford in an official statement on its website said;
“WATFORD FC is delighted to announce the signing of versatile attacker Nordin Amrabat.
“The Hornets have agreed terms with Malaga to acquire the services of the 28-year-old Dutch flyer on a three-and-a-half year contact.”
The Morocco international will join up with Quique Sanchez Flores’ squad after tonight’s Swansea City fixture, ready for this Saturday’s visit of Newcastle United to Vicarage Road.
Born in the Netherlands, the Moroccan was capped at under-21 level before playing 23 times for Morocco.
