Euro 2016 host, France played this last friendly match before the tournament starts on June 10 with a comfortable 3-0 win over Scotland courtesy goals from Arsenal Olivier Giroud and Laurent Koscielny.
The Scots were put to the sword in the first half as Oliver Giroud converted a low Bacary Sagna cross at the near post. Surprisingly he was booed by the fans at the start of the game but that did not deter him as he continued his fantastic goalscoring run for the Les Blues.
The Arsenal forward again found himself on the scorer’s sheet when he finished off a rebound from Dimitri Payet’s shot to make it 2-0.
Five minutes later, France were three goals up when Gunners defender Laurent Koscielny headed a Payet’s corner kick past David Marshall in goal for the visitors.
At the interval, manager Didier Deschamps threw on Anthony Martial and Antoine Griezmann to add more bite to the attack.
Scotland’s best chance came when Steven Fletcher met a super cross from Ikechi Anya, but the Sunderland striker got it all wrong and the ball drifted out of play for a throw-in.
Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba went within a few inches of scoring a fourth for France when he sent a free kick in, only to watch the ball smash off the post as Scotland survived another dangerous moment.
France failed to increase the lead as it ended 3-0 and wrapped up their preparation for the Euros.
