Super Eagles and Watford forward Odion Ighalo says the Hornets manager Quique Flores deserves all the credit for his side’s successes so far in the current premier league campaign.
Flores has done remarkably well to improve Watford since he took over from promotion-winning manager Slavisa Jokanovic in the summer, and has overseen eight wins, four draws and five losses after 17 league games to place seventh on the EPL log, ten points above defending Champions Chelsea.
It is believed that the change brought in by Flores may have informed Ighalo’s decision to sign a permanent deal at Vicarage Road. The Nigerian who has now scored 12 times in the league and 28 in 2015 has praised the skills of his new Spanish manager.
“He is one of the best coaches I’ve worked with, in terms of game plans and encouraging his players.
“He is a very intelligent guy and deserves big credit for everything we are going through now.” Ighalo said as quoted on the Independent.
Watford have now won four league games in a row and sit seventh in the Premier League table, just one point behind Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.
