The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Branch elections will get underway as planned – on Tuesday 26 January, the FKF Electoral Board has confirmed, easing fears that the second phase of the FKF elections might fail to take place.
The board conducted the verification process, aimed at having the clubs and delegates vet the lists to vote in the elections and the board, in a statement to media houses confirmed that the process was successful and all is set for the elections on Tuesday.
The board however stated that there will be a change in the polling stations to be used in the polls, a measure aimed at ensuring there is maximum security.
”The Football Kenya Federation Electoral Board wishes to inform you that we have successfully finished the verification process and the Branch election will go as scheduled on Tuesday, 26th January 2016, the statement read in parts.
“From the verification, the Board has agreed to reassign polling stations to ensure maximum security and the full list of participating delegates and clubs will be released in the FKF Electoral Board and FKF Website. Outgoing NEC members are advised to be present during the branch elections,” the statement read.
