Stakeholders in the forthcoming Football Kenya Federation (FKF) elections have now been handed a new date to verify the clubs and delegates eligible to vote at the forthcoming branch elections.
The process of verification was earlier scheduled for Thursday 21 and Friday 22 January but the Electoral Board shelved it, due to matters it said were beyond its control.
The new date has now been set for Saturday 23 January with the board stating that only the branch chair and secretary will be allowed to verify and has reiterated that the Branch elections will still go on as planned, on Tuesday 26th January.
Below is the board’s statement:
The Football Kenya Federation Electoral Board wishes to invite the Branch Chairman and the Secretary that the verification exercise for the Branches shall be done on Saturday 23rd January 2016 at Zetech University from 9am -3pm. The cases shall be listened to on first come first served basis.
The verification shall be done jointly by FKF Electoral Board and FKF and the Branch elections are still scheduled to take place on Tuesday 26th January 2016.
The Electoral Board undertakes to deliver free, fair and credible elections.
