The Kenyan Premier League (KPL) match between Muhoroni Youth and Chemelil Sugar will not be replayed; the result, a 1 – 0 win for Muho will stand, the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has ordered.
The KPL directed that the result was nullified after Chemelil Sugar, the visitors in the match staged at the Muhoroni Stadium, protested over a late change of the match referee and biased officiating.
KPL had ordered for a replay at the Moi Stadium, Kisumu within two weeks, starting May 30.
However, in a communique from the federation on Thursday 2 June, the KPL and the two clubs have been directed that the FKF made the change and stands by it as it is within the federation’s Referees Appointment Committee (RAC) mandate.
The FKF orders in the communique that the results will stand.

Please note that it is the responsibility of the FKF Referees appointment committee to appoint match officials for matches in the Kenyan Premier League, the National Super League and the National Division One league. It follows therefore that it is also their mandate to make changes to these appointments should it warrant.
The decision to change the centre referee for the match mentioned above was done in consultation with the referees committee and is therefore procedural. This then means that the results of the match will stand and it shall not be replayed
Please note that the rules governing football in Kenya which give mandates to the various committees are enshrined within the FKF Constitution.
