Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane believes the best way for the Galacticos to prepare for and maybe win the Champions League final is with the final two League games of the season.
Zidane who is no stranger to success and his troops eliminated Manchester City at the semi-final stage to set-up an all Madrid final in Milan later this month against city rivals Atletico.
Real Madrid are a point behind leaders Barcelona with two rounds of the La Liga campaign to play, the first of which sees Valencia at the Santiago Bernabeu in a game Zidane will welcome the return of Cristiano Ronaldo.
“You ask how it’s best to prepare for the Champions League Final and the best way I think is the final two games we have left. It’s best to play them.
“We’ve worked to get to the final. A job well done. We fought, and it wasn’t easy. With the quality in this group you can get things done. We’re all happy, for everything it means to this club.
“We’ve got two League games left and [Sunday’s] is important. We’re behind and we have to give everything to win the match. Picking up points is the most important thing and we have to give everything. We’re prepared for that. It won’t be easy. Under the Frenchman whose future has reportedly been decided by President Florentino Perez, Real Madrid have recorded a fantastic winning run in the league which currently stands at consecutive 10 victories.
The streak started on the second of March against Levante (1-3), then continued against Celta (7-1), Las Palmas (1-2) and Sevilla (4-0). April kicked off with a win at the Camp Nou (1-2) followed by victories over Éibar (4-0), Getafe (1-5), Villarreal (3-0), Rayo (2-3) and Real Sociedad (0-1).
Real Madrid have clinched six wins away from home and four at the Santiago Bernabéu and over the course of these 10 matches, they have scored 34 goals.
