2015 FIFA Club World Cup most valuable player Luis Suarez says he is overjoyed with the achievement of his team in the just concluded tournament in Japan.
Suarez and his team-mates won the Club World Cup in Japan after a performance that saw them overcome River Plate 3-0 with the Uruguayan star scoring two goals to add to the three that he notched in the semi-final.
The Uruguayan striker whose impressive showing in Japan made him by far the top scorer in the competition, and also made him the natural choice to collect the MVP award however placed more value team’s success ahead of personal glory
“The team made huge sacrifices to come into this game in the right condition. Our next target is to make sure that our level doesn’t drop off. Because we still hope to win a lot more trophies.”Suarez told the Barcelona official website.
Suárez who was even more impressed with his own team-mates -Messi and Iniesta, who took the silver and bronze individual awards also commended River Plate, who according to the forward “knew how to create pressure well and broke down our game a lot.”
