Nigeria youth international Godspower Aniefiok has been cleared by FIFA to complete a move to Tunisian outfit Étoile Sportive du Sahel.
The Dream Team VI midfielder’s move to the North African side suffered a delay despite successfully completing and passing a medical with the club back in December 2015 following clearance issue with Pillars and Akwa United.
The light-skinned star almost missed out on the chance to join the Red Devils as the issue could not be resolved before the transfer deadline day of January 15th. But a successful appeal to fifa by Étoile du Sahel to FIFA has now paved the way for the 19-year old to complete the switch.
Confirming fifa’s verdict over the appeal exclusively to fcnaija.com, the player’s manager Fred Akpaidem said;
“Godspower has been cleared by fifa to sign for Tunisian side Étoile du Sahel. Fifa upheld an appeal by the club to complete his signing after the transfer window had closed on the 15 of this month.”
Godspower who made his debut on the Glo NPFL stage two seasons at Akwa United before moving to Kano Pillars was part of the triumphant Dream Team VI who against all odds conquered Africa in the just concluded AFCON U23 Championship in Senegal.
