Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho have confirmed that on-loan striker Radamel Falcao will miss “a few weeks” of after he picked an unspecified muscular injury.
Falcao who failed to show his qualities on loan at Manchester United last season has found playing time hard to come by since joining Chelsea from Monaco at the summer.
Ahead of the UEFA Champions League match against Dynamo Kiev the Portuguese was asked whether the Colombian would get more minutes over the coming weeks at Stamford Bridge.
Mourinho said: “Falcao had an important injury. Not so important as the ones he had previously.
“But he had an important muscular injury and will be out for a few weeks so there is no point speaking about him.”
Falcao has scored just once in 11 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions this season.
