The Football Association have fined Arsenal £60,000 for breaching the agent regulations following the signing of Calum Chambers from Southampton in the summer of 2014 for a reported fee of £11m.
Chambers agent Alan Middleton was also fined £30,000 and banned from any agency or intermediary activity for a period of three months and the gunners were warned from future conduct.
Middleton’s ban will be suspended for 18 months and will not take effect unless he breaches the agent regulations.
“Arsenal admitted part of the breach but denied another, which was found not proven following an Independent Regulatory Commission,” the FA wrote in a statement on their official website.
“The charges against Mr Middleton, which he denied, were found proven.”
Arsenal are currently second on the Premier League log after ten matches so far.
