The torrid times of Manchester United midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger is taking a turn for the worse as the 31-year-old faces the reality of a three-game Premier League ban after accepting an FA charge for violent conduct.
The Germany international was charged by the governing body earlier this week for an altercation with West Ham United defender Winston Reid in the goalless draw at Old Trafford.
There were initial insinuations that Schweinsteiger would appeal against the decision, but he has now agreed to accept the punishment which will begin with immediate effect.
What this implies is that the Red Devils will further be depleted.
Already he is been accused of playing quite below expectations since joining United in the summer, he will now even miss games against Bournemouth, Norwich City and Stoke City.
