Vice-President of the Egyptian Football Association Hassan Farid has said the weather in Kaduna is no issue for them ahead of their Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Nigeria on Friday.
In an exclusive interview with fcnaija, Farid said contrary to the belief that they will buckle under the intense heat, they are also used to it as it is very hot in Egypt at the moment as well.
“It’s the same weather in Egypt at this time of the year,” he told fcnaija. “We can play when it is hot and we also know it is hot here.
“We can also play when it is cold and when you want to win a game, you’re not looking at the weather, whether it is hot or not,” he said.
The Pharaohs arrived Kaduna on Wednesday night aboard a chartered flight and will have their first and only training session at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium at 5pm local time.
