A handful of Nigerian players have made impact in the highly rated English Premier League in recent times. From Kanu Nwanko, to Jay Jay Okocha, to Yakubu Aiyegbeni and now Odion Ighalo.
While Henty Ezekiel is not ruling out hitting it big in the EPL like his compatriots, he is first focused on the task of ruling Slovenia together with his team Olimpija Ljubljana.
In this exclusive interview with 366football.com from his base in Slovenia, the 22-year old who is already hugging the headlines in Eastern Europe says while he has the big dreams, he is happy at his present club Olimpija and is not considering an early exit.
Here are excerpts from the interview…
366football: Can you gives us a little background into your career and how the present season is going for you?
Ezekiel: Well, I thank God for how far I have come. I will say my career started in Italy with Ac Milan, and in 3years I have learnt a lot that has helped improved me and making my present season a great success.

Ezekiel: My magic of goal scoring is 100%GOD and continuous hard work. So far I have scored 7 goals and 6assist now in 13games. By God’s grace I have a 20 goals target for myself and I believe I can make it if not surpass it.

Ezekiel: The objective is to be champions and we will keep giving our maximum best during every game and try to win as many games as possible.
366football: There are reports that Slovenia officials are tempting to naturalise you to play for them, how true is this and would you consider such offers
Ezekiel: I don’t know about such, I just concentrate on playing for my team Olimpija and if such offers come I will think about it

Ezekiel: I am quite optimistic and positive also. I think the Super Eagles have a chance to do well and progress under Coach Oliseh
366football: How would you describe the standard of the league in Slovenia, are you eyeing an early exit or you are enjoying your game there?
