Spain national football team head coach Vicente del Bosque has admitted that a selection dilemma awaits him as he gets down to the business of picking his squad for the Euro 2016 championship in France.
Bosque on Monday in Ukraine changed his entire starting line-up for Monday’s 1-0 win against Ukraine in his side’s final Euro 2016 qualifier.
The former Real Madrid legend in an interview after the encounter feels his players are making it tough for him to devise a settled party for the trip to France next year.
“The experience was good in light of all the changes made,” he said after the game. Ukraine had a good game, but De Gea did very well.
“We have good players and it makes our job easier. We’re happy. It’ll be a problem choosing only 23 players for the Euros, but we still have plenty of time.
“I think Ukraine have a philosophy and character which not many teams have. I wish them luck in the playoffs.” Bosque is quoted as saying on Football Espana.
Mario Gaspar’s debut goal inside the opening 20 minutes of the game was all the Spain needed to earn maximum points in Ukraine and claim group C top spot ahead of Slovakia to secure their qualification to France.
