Cameroon football legend Samuel Eto’o has confirmed the postponment of the Eto’o Charity Match following security concerns in Turkey – venue of the proposed charity game.
The 35-year-old forward who currently plays for Turkish side Antalyaspor was due to host 23 football legends both retired and those still playing in a charity game to raise funds for his Foundation.
Announcing the postponement of the charity match, The former Chelsea and Inter Milan took to his official Instagram page and wrote:
“Dear all, I am sorry to announce that for security reasons, Eto’o Charity Match, that was supposed to take place today at 8pm at Antalya Arena, is postponed until further notice. I thank each and everyone of you for your continuous support and count on your understanding. #Love.”
Th game which was supposed to play host to Manchester United’s new boss Jose Mourinho who few days ago confirmed his unavailability will now be moved to a yet to be confirmed dat.
