Nigerian youngster Kelechi Iheanacho is keeping hope alive that his English club, Manchester City can still win the Premier League title this season.
Iheanacho is positive that the Citizens can rule England again even though they are now six points behind surprise table toppers, Leicester City
Only on Sunday, Iheanacho came off the bench to score his third EPL goal but it was not enough as City fell 2-1 to title chasers Tottenham Hotspur.
“We will close the gap (between us and front runners),” he told Manchester City Television.
“We were very disappointed we lost, no one is happy, but we will come back stronger.
“We will put this defeat behind us and keep going for the next games. We will work hard and concentrate for every game.”
With the last defeat at home, City have slipped to fourth on the table and their next league game will be at Liverpool which they need to pull up their socks if they are to garner points that would bring them back on track in their title pursuit.
Currently on his last season with City, Coach Manuel Pellegrini has the chance of finishing on a high as his team are still in contention in four fronts; including the Champions League where they are now in the knockout phase.
