Nigerian shot stopper Vincent Enyeama kept another clean sheet in France on Sunday as his team Lille forced out a goalless draw against Nice in their Ligue 1 clash.
Sunday’s clean sheet is the fourth of the season for Enyeama as his team were able to hold their own again a Nice side that has lost steam after they had recorded a strong start to the Ligue 1 season.
Eric Bautheac fired over the bar and Mounir Obbadi placed his effort wide of the target, as the visitors showed more threat in the early stages.
Nice soon began to take control with Hatem Ben Arfa seeing a shot deflect wide and Nampalys Mendy also missing the target.
After the break, Renato Civelli headed over when well-placed from a corner, before Ben Arfa was denied by Vincent Enyeama.
Ben Arfa appeared to be the most likely player on the pitch to make the breakthrough, but Enyeama was alert to save another of his long-range attempts.
The hosts continued to press for a late winner, but they could not find a way through their opponents’ defence as the game finished on level terms.
Despite the point on the road, Lille still need much more as they are currently placed 16th on the log in the top division in France
