Barcelona coach Luis Enrique has said he and his team will cast a spell over Arsenal’s Champions League ambitions, ahead of their round of 16, first leg clash at the Emirates on Tuesday.
The Champions League holders are guests of Arsenal in Tuesday’s mouthwatering fixture and the Barca boss says his prolific front-men of Luis Suarez, Neymar and Lionel Messi – who have scored 91 goals between them this season – will weave their magical spell around the Emirates Stadium in tonight’s fixture.
“What do I say to Messi, Suarez and Neymar? Abracadabra! And then the magic sparks. That’s all I say,” Enrique said.
“Honestly, I always work very hard and I’ve always had the chance to have good strikers in my squad.
“But to be honest, it’s simple. In most situations you don’t even have to wish them to do something – they are already doing it.’
Enrique also insists Barca will arrive at the Emirates on Tuesday night with the intention of passing Arsenal off the park in their own back yard.
“Barca always have possession of the ball and control the game,’ said the former Roma boss.
“On paper, this will be one of the most attractive and appealing types of game, especially if you like this kind of football.
“I have seen Arsenal before this season. They will press high in some moments of the game according to the profile of players they have got.
“But I hope we can keep possession of the ball in their half of the pitch and we can put into practice our football.”
