Gor Mahia striker Enoch Agwanda is confident that his team will catch up with the leading pack after slumping to a second straight winless match in the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) on Sunday 21 February.
Agwanda netted the first goal on the second minute as his team took on newly promoted Posta Rangers but a late goal from Gershon Likono restored parity, much to the Gor Mahia disappointment.
The result left Gor with two points from the opening two games and speaking after the game, the Kenyan international stated his confidence that Gor will do well in the coming matches as he backed the team to catch up.
“It was a very tough match and we wanted to win; conceding in the dying minutes was hard on us but hopefully we will catch up. I think we played well, we managed to push ourselves to do well and we gave all we could though sometimes it never goes according to plan.
“We now go back to plan for the next game; we are just starting the season and I am sure we will recover and all will be fine,” he noted.
