Former Super Eagles striker Emmanuel Emenike has dropped a big hint that he is most likely heading to the English Premier League this January where he is reportedly being wanted by West Ham United.
As previously reported by 366football.com Emenike is seen as surplus to requirement at his parent club Fenerbahce hence the need to find another club before the January window winds down.
The former Spartak Moscow front man who announced his retirement from the Nigeria national football team via his Instagram page also served the hint about his transfer on same platform.
The 28-year posted the below photo from the film Green Street about West Ham hooligans with the following caption: “Hahahaha.
Already, West Ham co-owner David Sullivan has confirmed that the club are in talks with a new striker but he was coy on the identity of the transfer target
“There’s a possibility that a striker will come in on loan, with the option to buy, within the next seven days. He’s an overseas striker.
“If I told you, you wouldn’t believe it. I can’t tell you which league because then you’ll know exactly who it is. We are signing from a very strange league. But he has played in higher leagues.” The West Ham top act declared.
