Arsenal winter signing Mohamed Elneny says winning the club’s Player of the Month award is “just the beginning” of more awards for him at the Emirates.
The Egypt international topped the poll from Danny Welbeck and Mesut Ozil after a string of impressive performances in March for the North London outfit.
Reacting to the recognition, a delighted Elneny says he is happy to have been recognized by the Arsenal fans and promises that there is more to come as he settles into English football.
“I am very happy to be Player of the Month for such a big club,” he told Arsenal Player. “It feels very good, it will motivate me to have more faith as I play in the team and it shows how the fans love and believe in me.
“It is very helpful to feel that you are loved by the people in the club and the fans – and I still have more to give the team.
“So, I would like to thank all the people who nominated me. This is just the beginning. Hopefully, I will contribute more and more to the team in the future.” Elneny stated.
Elneny was in fine form in March to top our official online poll, scoring his first goal at Barcelona and impressing with a series of energetic performances.
Danny Welbeck was in second place, with Mesut Ozil who won the February edition in third place.
