Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has stated that Gabonese international Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will not leave the club amid speculations of a possible move to Barcelona.
Aubameyang was the club’s topscorer last season and has carried on that form in this campaign which has drawn very strong interest from the Catalans who are planning to make a superb offer in the January transfer window for the striker.
The 26-year-old striker has found the back of the net 14 times in 14 appearances in all competitions so far this season.
“We plan clearly with Aubameyang,” Zorc told Bild when pressed by rumours linking the forward with a possible move to Barcelona.
Aubameyang is also quoted as saying: “I am here with all my heart, I’ve never wanted to leave.”
Aubameyang joined the Bundesliga outfit from Saint-Etienne in 2013 and grew into a top class finisher under the tutelage of current Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.
