Despite enjoying great form with Paris Saint Germain two years after leaving Real Madrid, Argentine winger Angel Di Maria does not feel the Spanish giants are missing him.
Real Madrid have had to endure a tough season domestically and are far off in the race for the La Liga title, having been thrown out of the Copa del Rey. The UEFA Champions League seems to be the only realistic chance at silverware for the team.
Di Maria played a crucial part as PSG advanced to the Champions League quarters and he might meet his former team at the next stage but speaking after the win over Chelsea he termed Real Madrid a quality team and called on their fans to be a bit patient with them.
“I don’t think Madrid need a player like me, they have players with quality and experience. They’re players who cost a lot of money and are showing that.
“The [Santiago] Bernabeu fans are very demanding with the players and I hope things go well for them, because I have a lot of friends there.”
“Madrid and Barca are always favourites, they always reach the final rounds,” he said.
