Anthony Martial created two goals as Manchester United defeated harding fighting Derby 3-1 in the FA Cup tonight.
The Red Devils went into the FA Cup tie at the back of a 1-0 home loss in the Premier League against Southampton and needed a good result to ease the pressure on manager Louis van Gaal.
The players responded as Captain Wayne Rooney hammered a right foot shot into the net after receiving a delicate pass from the Red Devils best player on the night Anthony Martial.
The home side responded swiftly with a goal before half time when George Thorne squeezed a left foot shot in to make it 1-1.
The second half was eventful as Manchester United looked to secure passage into the next round of the competition and showed superiority by dominating possession before Daley Blind brilliantly scored from the center of the box for 2-1.
It was only a matter of time for the home side to fall apart and that was helped by the mesmerising skills of Martial who danced past defenders before setting up Juan Mata for 3-1.
Manchester United returns to premier league action on Tuesday when they welcome Stoke City to Old Trafford.
