Kenyan international Victor Wanyama failed to arrive in the Harambee Stars camp as expected on Tuesday following a delay with his flight from Heathrow in England that occasioned him to miss the connecting flight from Marrakech, Morocco to Guinea Bissau.
The Stars skipper was expected to land in time for the final training session but the missed flight means he will arrive early on Wednesday 23 March, about 10 hours to the 2017 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Guinea Bissau.
Wanyama had to connect from Marrakech to Daka, Senegal before finally taking the flight to Bissau.
The delayed arrival and obvious jet lag could affect the national team head coach Stanley Okumbi’s plans for the team, and the skipper could start on the bench.
