Nigerian striker, Osaze Odemwingie is expected to complete a loan switch to Marseille today after Stoke City manager Mark Hughes gave green lights for the move.
The 34-year-old has featured in the Ligue 1 before how and he is now heading back to a familiar terrain.
Odemwingie joined Stoke City from Cardiff City in 2014 but has been used sparingly by Hughes this season, with just four substitute appearances in the Premier League.
Odemwingie has just six months remaining on his Stoke contract, with an option for a further year, but the club are thought to be relaxed about his future.
Marseille have already completed the capture of Newcastle United winger Florian Thavin and have also lodged a bid for Swansea City striker Eder as they look to get their European push back on track.
