Manchester City record signing Kevin de Bruyne has expressed his delight with his side’s 6-1 demolition of Newcastle United at the Etihad.
The Belgian international scored in the club’s 6-1 win against Magpies making it three goals in four Premier League appearances since joining the club from Wolfsburg in the summer but he feels that he needs to put in a stronger performance over the 90 minutes next time out.
“It’s a nice victory to end this period before the international break, I was happy with the second half but not with the first. It was difficult for me early on but then you go out and try to play better,” the 24-year-old said.
“We were a little bit tired because of a hard week, but after the first half hour we got more into the game and in the second half, we started putting on the pressure.”
With the win Manchester City are back on top of the premier league log but it may all change depending on the result from the Manchester United and Arsenal match on Sunday.
