Crystal Palace are through to the finals of the 2016 FA Cup where they will battle it out against Manchester United following their 2-1 victory over Watford in the semi-finals of the competition at Wembley on Sunday afternoon.
It was Yannick Bolasie that gave Alan Pardew’s men a sixth-minute lead in London, but Watford levelled the scores 10 minutes into the second period when Troy Deeney headed home from close range.
Palace however got back in front just past the hour, as Connor Wickham’s clever header proved enough to send Alan Pardew’s side into the FA Cup final, where they will meet Louis van Gaal’s Man United.
It was heart break all the way for Nigerian striker Ighalo who despite having a rare chance for Watford late in game only fired over the crossbar from close range, before Jurado fired into the arms of Hennessey from the edge of the box.
Hard as Watford pressed for an equalizer, they failed to level up as Palace deservedly marched on to their first FA Cup final since 1990.
Depending on how United finish on the EPL standings, Pardew may be back in Europe with his present team.
