The Congolese national team is in Nairobi in time for the 2017 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Kenya which will be staged at the Moi International Sports Center (MISC) Kasarani on Sunday 5 June.
The team landed on Thursday 2 June at 0745hrs in a 51 – man contingent that consists of 23 players, officials and fans. The Congolese Sports Minister will link up with the team on Friday 3 June.
The players and coaching staff will be staying at the Safari Park Hotel along the Thika Super Highway while the rest have been booked at the Sun Stars Hotel in Roasters area, along Thika Super Highway.
Among the star players in the team include French based Thievy Bifouma, Christopher Mafoumbi and Francis Nganga.
