Nairobi City Stars has parted ways with head coach Gabriel Kingi Njoroge who has been with the team for just two months.
Kingi took over the job at the Kawangware side after Paul Nkata left rather unceremoniously to join Muhoroni Youth but in a post on the club’s official website, the chairman, Peter Jabuya is quoted as saying the two parties have parted ways.
The chairman notes that the club felt the need to explore new ways to re – jig their season with three matches remaining and a place in the premier league seeming blurred after every match day.
“It was a mutual understanding. We felt he had done his best for the club .We needed something new as well as to think on the way forward. We appreciate his effort and contribution to the team and wish him all the very best in his future,” he is quoted on the website.
City Stars is currently 15th in 16 team log after 27 matches.
