Aleksandar Kolarov and Manchester City may have won the Manchester derby, but the sSerbian defender also suffered a personal loss in the defeat of their cross-town rivals.
Goals from Kevin De Bruyne and Kelechi Iheanacho secured a 2-1 win for City at Old Trafford on Saturday, but left-back Kolarov however lost a tooth.
City’s second goalkeeper Willy Caballero shared a picture of himself with Kolarov in the dressing room after the game, with a caption: “Amazing game 2-1 against United at Old Trafford #cmoncity.
“In this picture with one of my warriors. Can you find the only thing he lost today.”
In the picture, Kolarov can be seen smiling with one of his front tooth noticeably lost.
It was a game that Kolarov and City deserved to win, after dominating especially in the first half, as it appeared they would run riot against their hosts.
They however allowed United back into the game when a howler by debuting goalkeeper Claudio Bravo saw Zlatan Ibrahimovic find the back of the net to half the deficit.
The win means City have now won all of their matches this season both in the Premier League and in the Champions League, having beaten Romanian side Steau Bucharest over two legs to progress into the group stages of the competition.
