Chemelil Sugar FC will be taking on their bitter rivals Muhoroni Youth in the sugar belt derby, a Kenyan Premier League (KPL) clash scheduled for Sunday 7 August at the Chemelil Sports Complex.
The clash that is normally a fierce contest for the two teams comes at a time Chemelil Sugar, the hosts, are enjoying a rich vein of form and head coach Francis Baraza says they are all braced for the encounter.
Ahead of the match, Chemelil Sugar won their match, against City Stars while Muhoroni Youth come from a 1 – 1 draw with Ulinzi Stars and Baraza is gunning on the confidence in his team with players all psyched up for the game and looking to stretch on with the good run.
“We are ready; my team is getting on well and we are coming from a win which is good for us in terms of confidence. This is a derby so we know it will be tough and we have to keep the right focus and concentration,” he said.
Muhoroni Youth will be without their top scorer, Wycliffe Ochomo in the game as he is serving the second of a three – match ban.
